A Canada General Service Medal 1866-1870, 4Th (Chasseurs Canadiens) Battalion certificate_of_authenticity at which the Great PowersInstituted in 1899. 2 Clasps FENIAN RAID 1866, FENIAN RAID 1870 (Pte. Augustin Quintal 4th Battn). In silver, engraver marked "T. B." on the obverse, measuring 36. 3 mm in diameter. Very dark patina, contact marks evident on the obverse, original ribbon, better than very fine. Accompanied by six pages of paperwork conforming his award of the medal. Footnote: The Canada General Service Medal was instituted in January 1899 and was awarded to members of
